Puerto Rico
Much of this series centers around Old San Juan, where centuries of architecture, color, and coastal light shape the rhythm of the city. From the Atlantic views surrounding Castillo San Felipe del Morro to the narrow streets lined with weathered facades, the island reveals a constant dialogue between past and present.
Details such as the iron-slag ballast bricks brought by Spanish ships—now worn smooth and tinted blue by time and environment—serve as quiet reminders of Puerto Rico’s complex colonial history. Yet within those layers of history is a culture defined by resilience, creativity, and warmth.
This project includes both 35mm film & digital.
